Middleburn RO2 X-Type Tandem Bike Cranks are designed specifically for the demands of tandem cycling, where strength, reliability, and precise fit are essential. These RO2 bike cranks are available in black or silver finishes and can be configured in a range of crank arm lengths to suit both front and rear riders.

You can specify different lengths for the front and rear cranks to match rider preference and biomechanics. Common tandem crankset configurations include 175mm front with 170mm rear, or 170mm front and rear, but custom combinations are available to ensure optimal comfort and power delivery for both riders.

Like all Middleburn RO2 X-Type cranks, this tandem crankset runs on a 24mm axle, making it compatible with HollowTech2-style external bottom brackets. Standard axles are supplied as default, but if your tandem setup requires a different axle length, don’t hesitate to contact our team and we’ll be happy to advise. Available crank arm fittings include:

Front crank arms: 165mm, 170mm, 175mm
Rear crank arms: 165mm, 170mm, 175mm

Important note: Do not use Shimano Dura-Ace BR9100 bottom brackets with these cranks. Due to the design of the BB, bearings, and seals, the lock ring may rub against the BB cup. All other bottom brackets are compatible.
