Looking to save your cherished cranks with a stripped pedal thread? We have here either a Right Hand Saver or Left Hand Saver. To fit these you take them to a local machine shop where they MUST machine accurately a 18.00mm diameter bore and counterbore it to accept the slightly oversize tophat fitments. These are then pressed into the crank arm using an interference fit and once fitted they allow you to re-fit your pedal and have you up and running.
Some years ago BETD along with the online shop had both a bikeshop and the workshop where we could undertake repairs such as stripped bottom bracket threads, stuck seatposts and of course cranks with stripped pedal threads. These kits worked perfectly and you did not have to go down the expense of helicoiling the cranks.
Each saver includes a stainless steel pedal washer along with a precision machined anodised alloy insert for either the right hand pedal or left hand pedal. If you have any questions please email us and we will gladly help.
