Cycling again promises to be a highlight, showcasing the incredible skills and unwavering determination of Paralympic athletes. Here's what you can expect:
Para-Cycling Disciplines
Athletes will compete across two main disciplines, track cycling and road cycling.
- Track Cycling: Held at the Vélodrome National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, this high-speed spectacle will see athletes battle it out in individual and team pursuit races, time trials, and sprint events. Witness incredible athleticism and teamwork as athletes with various disabilities compete on specialised bikes.
- Road Cycling: The scenic roads surrounding Paris will host the road races and time trials. Athletes will compete on adapted bikes, tandems for visually impaired athletes, and handcycles for riders with limited lower body mobility.
