The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games have delivered another inspiring chapter in the world of Para cycling. From the electrifying atmosphere of the velodrome to the challenges of the road races and time trials, athletes pushed their limits and redefined what's possible on two wheels.

Paralympics GB legend Dame Sarah Storey made history with a record extending 19
th gold medal at age 46, but a new generation of athletes also made their mark. France’s Heidi Gaugain made it a rare close finish for Dame Sarah, almost pipping her to the line in their C4-5 Road Race, at 27 years her junior.
The roar of the Parisian crowd fuelled the home athletes, who claimed 21 medals in the road cycling events, including seven golds. Highlights for the spectators included victory in the mixed team relay H1-5 event, and almost a clean sweep of the podium in the Men's C4 Individual Time Trial. Expect this energy to carry over to future Paralympic Games, and for France to improve on their results.
Li Zhangyu stole the show at the velodrome, setting a new world record and claiming gold in the Men's C1 3000m Individual Pursuit. China continued its strong showing throughout the cycling events, with ten medals in total across the road and the track.
