A deep tread on a tyre will aid the tyre in squeezing water out to get rid of the excess rain so check for tyres with this feature. A puncture is never desired, but particularly not in adverse weather conditions, where staying in motion is the central component of keeping you warm. For this reason, you might want to look for a protective sheet underneath the tread as it will provide a buffer against bits of debris, sharp objects and more threats to your bike’s health while you’re out on or off the roads.
